It is important to get plenty of rest following your procedure and to keep your head elevated for several days to minimize excess swelling. You should avoid strenuous physical activities for three to four weeks following your procedure. It is common for the eye to tire easily, so take naps as needed. Wear sunglasses when in direct sunlight for the first two weeks to protect your eyes.
Most major swelling should begin to subside after four to six weeks, at which time your final results should be visible. Minor swelling may last for several months but will eventually diminish.
